Community Network Consultant Required
The consultant will be paid £16,200 for the completion of the tasks within the Contract, expected to be delivered over a year.
We are looking for a Community Network Consultant to help us develop and support our Community Peer Support Network. This is a network of volunteers that support Planning Democracy’s work as well as providing experienced volunteers able to support less well-resourced communities who are trying to engage in planning. Other responsibilities will include using the information and learning from these groups to inform our work of campaigning for change in national policy, developing community resources such as an online forum and helpsheets and training PD Community Champions. The consultant will work alongside the Convenor of Planning Democracy and will report to the Board of Trustees every 6 weeks.
This role requires a motivated individual with an ability to work on your own initiative. You should have a good grounding in planning matters and be able to demonstrate a commitment to social and environmental justice. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills who has a good appreciation of the community perspective in planning and is able to build a rapport with people easily. Flexibility for evening and weekend working required.
