An important part of our work is to bring people together and to enable people to better influence the way their area is developed and to campaign for change when they find their voice is not heard.
We find this is incredibly powerful as it allows information sharing and gives people energy and a feeling of solidarity to people who often feel alone and disempowered.
We build community capacity by
> Holding regular events where people can meet up and network such as our annual gatherings and conferences.
> Supporting groups to work together, for example by encouraging community councils to exchange information and skills.
> Providing advocacy training and opportunities for people to work together on campaigns.
> Signposting to other organisations who can help, such as the Development Trusts Association Scotland (DTAS).
